We both agreed: We really enjoyed our first Pop-Up Tearoom and do believe that our guests liked it as well. We got to know some new nice people, everybody talked, it was a very relaxed atmosphere, you just had a nice sunday afternoon with great people, with a lot (well, it was maybe too much…) of yummy goodies.

Afternoon Tea at my House

Next sunday we are hosting an Afternoon Tea at our house. I managed to create the menu, which will be placed under each plate. The challenge was, that the colours of the printed menu needed to match with napkins, mugs, plates, etc. If you love sweet treats and are wondering about the so-called „Vintage Summer Cake“ I am thinking about a triple-decker sponge cake with berries, fruit syrup and cream – something you can enjoy all summer.

We are still struggling what types of sandwiches will be served. I don’t want to offer just the very classic selection, something special with a trendy twist is a must. I also need to think about a vegetarian sandwich, is vegan also needed? puh, I have to sort all this things out until next weekend….but I will let you know!

How I got my new Garden Chair

May I introduce you to: the sweetest, prettyiest, wonderfullyiest and nicest garden chair, you have ever seen?

Since my friend anna told me about this chair, which she has seen in May in the Flamant store in Knokke/ Belgium, I was sneaking around it week after week. Luckily for me: the weather in Germany was so unpleasent and bad, that I never really needed to buy it. The woman can wait, yes! and last thursday the day finally came: sale signs in the window of the local Flamant store! and very quick, you could see the woman with the pink hair carrying something heavy and huge and big to her VW Beetle….now waiting, for the sun to arrive in Germany…have a nice weekend!

Vintage Bunting forever?!

Yes, I know what you are thinking: How many buntings does this girl need ?? This is not only my third bunting, I have the feeling that there are still even more to come…

Vintage Bunting

The idea was the following: I wanted to start some knitting again, and no, socks would have been too difficult for me, because I am a real beginner here…I needed something really easy, but still something I would deeply enjoy when it is finished.

Vintage Bunting

So, the bunting idea it was! of course I couldn’t tell the friendly granny in the wool store what I was planning to do, for her, it would have sound like wasted time and money at all. But I am quite satisfied with my knitting skills. Let’s see, how I can improve and taking the next step on it.

Embroidery Hoops

Ohhh…I can do that! Thanks to the MOLLIE MAKES magazine, I am totally excited lately about the idea of knitting something, make embroideries, doing crochet, all kinds of this stuff…There are always so many ideas what you can do, and to start something I bought some embroidery hoops.

Embroidery Hoop

The last days you could have seen me sitting on the porch always with a needle, thread and the hoop in my hands. The result does satisfy me very very much, and more hoops are to come…have a nice weekend!
