Horror für meinen Mann
This Sunday is all about getting ready for Valentine´s Day. For me, this means that I am trying out new cake recipes and I also bring up the decorations. For our neighbors this means, free Sunday afternoon cake delivered directly to their house. As I am a big fan of ‚dry‘ coffee cakes, I tried this Cream Cheese Coffee Cake with Cinnamon Streusel. Yummy.
My hubby is getting a supercute gift, which I secretly finished last week already! Well, the original idea I had in mind, seems to be unworkably. I wanted to scratch our both initials in some wooden bark. but: how do I get the tree inside our house? and: how should I wrap the tree up?! so, at the end I decided to embroider everything, and I am quite happy with the outcome!
But of course I need a supercute valentine’s card as well! at the end I loved 3 cards and could not decide. That’s why I ended up buying all 3 of them and thinking it over: I am gonna use the one with the cats! I like it the most! hope you do agree with my decision?
Valentine’s week starts today with „crafty Monday“. You guessed it, this might be the first of many Valentine´s Day related posts that I am planning to do. Last week I have already finished these cute miniature cookie etageres but the things that I wanted to put on them were still missing.
I think it´s kind of boring if there are cookies on a cookie etagere. So I had to find something else that would also relate to the overall Valentine`s Day theme. I thought sweets would be nice but at first I did not knew where to find them. During a shopping weekend in London I accidentally went into a sweet store on Columbia Road which had exactly what I was looking for.
A classical Valentine`s Day dilemma. Should the kitten get nothing ? (Un)fortunately a our house there are no kittens yet, so we can have it all. The card, the mini cakes and the Valentine.
