Strawberry Cheesecake

For last Sunday's cake buffet (Pictures coming up this week, I promise), I wanted to do another Cheesecake variation. I love Cheesecake, so I tried one with Strawberries. Looking at it, it feels way more summer'ish than March. My only problem was that at first guests did not really dare to cut it with all those beautiful fruits on top. Ginger is the new Porch Colour

In my persistent attempt to attract a certain ginger and "homeless" cat to come to our house, I had a recent breakthrough. I found it sleeping, very relaxed on our front porch. However, it still has a strictly no touching policy and I can show you the marks on my hands to prove it. But I am working on it, someday it will happen, I know it.

Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake with Oreo Crust

Well, Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake with Oreo Crust. Do I need to say more ? I am trying new recipes and this will definitely make the short list. However, as it is Monday, you don´t really want to know what´s in there. The only good news about the bad weather is that low temperatures help with the layering of the caramel and the chocolate.

Birthday Drink

For my birthday, I wanted to create a special drink. Non alcoholic, I mean. So I tried this rhubarb juice with peaches and melon slices in it. Let´s skip the spring and directly start with the summer.

Spring is here

Now, it´s official, spring is here. For me it´s a good enough reason to redecorate the entire entrance area. And did you notice ? The blue door has found a home, however I am sure it will only be temporary. There is also a little bit of easter already foreshadowing.

Yummy Ginger Cake

Since years, this is my favourite cake. Easy to to make, with a warm golden color and a pleasant spicy flavor - just the right thing to enjoy with a cuppa tea on a rainy sunday!
