Das ist zwar eine kurze, aber tolle „Dekorations Saison“, kurz bevor es Weihnachten wird
So sieht also das heutige Buffet aus: Blutiger Schokoganache Kuchen mit Meringue Geistern und abgeschnittene Hexenfingercookies die auch echt mal 'ne Maniküre vertragen hätten...aber jetzt ist es zu spät dafür, alle Finger sind ab! Und wer sich ans Rosa Haus ran traut heute hat die Qual der Wahl...Happy Halloween!
Ganz plötzlich sind sie wieder hier, irgendwie immer zur gleichen Zeit: Ekelhafte dicke Schokokeks Spinnen, mit langen Candy Corn Beinen, orangenen Smartie Augen und einem total vernarbten Rücken durch die Schokoraspel obendrauf. Einfach ekelhaft. Ich muss versuchen die alle zu vernichten :-), sofort...und jetzt läuft grade auch noch 'ne riesige Katze von links...aber ne, puhh, das ist nur die Rote Katze mit weichem Winterfell, die darf natürlich bleiben!
Für Halloween hab' ich mich dann noch kurzfristig entschlossen die leckeren cookies & cream Fudge Schnittchen vorzubereiten. Das Rezept ist ja in meinem neuen Buch drin. Um das Ganze für die 'Trick or Treater'-Kids ein bisschen gruseliger zu machen, habe ich die weiße Schokolade einfach orange eingefärbt. Die Farbe ist auch sehr gut rausgekommen, ein super Kontrast zu den schwarzen Keksen find' ich...dann schnell ein paar Stunden in den Kühlschrank und ich konnte das Fudge aufschneiden und noch ekelig andekorieren...bin…
Happy Halloween! Instead of carving out a real pumpkin, this year I decided to go for these Pumpkin Pom-Poms. The name alone is a very cute tongue twister. Don´t believe it ? Try to say it 5 times quickly. Pumpkin Pom-Pom, Pumpkin Pom-Pom, Pumpkin Pom-Pom ...... I decided to kick off Halloween week with the appropriate coffee. I love these glass mugs that come in different sizes and have beautiful lids with ornament holes in them. The coffee is, of course, best served together with freshly baked cinnamon rolls. Seriously, would you try and eat that apple ? Looks tempting, doesn't it ? I used this wreath that I already had together with a bit of black spray paint to turn it into a scary Halloween display. Just in case someone is hungry while passing by our house. Weird side effects guaranteed.
