Tough choice to pick the right hat or antlers for the Christmas themed PopUp Tearoom. The Santa apron and the "HoHoHo" Bling were mandatory, but I could not decide between the other three. At the end I went with the red & white sugar canes. They are the cutest.
You guessed it already, but the chandeliers in the living room can not stay undecortated. The fake horn one has a story of it´s own as it´s weight is above 40kg and various 'experts' refused to put it up there until our lovely neighbor saved the day. However, my husband still does not 'risk' to put valuable electronic devices below it. Well it looks nice and someone has written a very long wishlist for Santa and put it up there.
I have already set up the Christmas decoration in our windows a couple of weeks back but my hubby refused to take pictures. He said that it does not make sense as long as there is no snow in the background. I can understand that. But once we had the first snow he told me that too much white makes it hard to get good pictures. Well, what can I say, after a little convincing he took them after all…
This year Santa decided to set up an entire village on our main fireplace. With little shops, cafes and tin cars delivering christmas trees and other cute things. Santas electrician aka my hubby was a little grumpy setting the lights up as the different shops do not have the same lighting system. All the deer that are spending the summer together in a box in the attic are starting their season gathering on the stairs. Last year they spread themselves all around the house, but it seems that this year they stay together to be more impressive.
This year the front porch Christmas decoration is all about ribbons and making it cozy for Santa so that he feels comfortable, stays long and leaves a lot of gifts behind for me. You must know I have been very good this year. I tried to set it up like it could be his living room. If he is up for a little skiing he can do that as well.
This weekend, my hubby is in trouble as I told him that we`ll be setting up the Christmas decoration. Since he is responsible for outside lighting, this means serious work. Only 4 weeks to go, so stay tuned, there'll be lot's of pics coming up. Since the hubby was not willing to get photographed standing on the ladder grumpy as nothing seemed to work, here´s me adjusting the front porch.
