Vintage Lace Curtain

Ever since I saw this in London as store decoration at Spitalfields market, I knew I wanted to make such a vintage lace curtain for our porch door. The only problem was to get enough lace and doily pieces together. But, Thanx to my lovely colleagues Nina and Christina it did not take very long. In order to make it look vintage, I dyed every cutting or collar individually with black tea. After drying I sewed everything together. You guessed it. I love it.

I actually love it so much so, that I am already wondering how all the other windows would look like with something like this as a curtain.

    Hi,
I would Love to make a lace curtain like this. Where did you get the laces from? They’re so beautiful. I would love to know. Thanks.

The laces are actually from vintage clothing that I bought on flea markets. You can still see the V- or round-neck shapes of the pieces. I cut them out and put them together for the curtain.
