New Bunting & Vintage Table Runner

Oh my gosh, it seems like forever, since I posted some pictures on my lovely website. The reason for that was not, that I am the laziest person in the world, no, I was really down with the flu, but it seems like everybody has that at the moment. But Friday was the first day, when I felt a little better and I immediately turned into crafty-Andrea.

Vintage Table Runner

I can show you my new bunting, made out of different sized doilies and my new tablerunner, made out of left over fabrics and lace. I dyed everything with black tea before I got started, to get a more vintage outcome and the different patterns and colours would be closer together and match nicely.

To turn the Saturday into the best day since weeks, the sun was shining and I could enjoy the first latte with marble cake sitting outside in the sun! love that!

Happy Valentine’s Day !

My hubby is getting a supercute gift, which I secretly finished last week already! Well, the original idea I had in mind, seems to be unworkably. I wanted to scratch our both initials in some wooden bark. but: how do I get the tree inside our house? and: how should I wrap the tree up?! so, at the end I decided to embroider everything, and I am quite happy with the outcome!

Valentine's Day

But of course I need a supercute valentine’s card as well! at the end I loved 3 cards and could not decide. That’s why I ended up buying all 3 of them and thinking it over: I am gonna use the one with the cats! I like it the most! hope you do agree with my decision?

Vintage Lace Curtain

Ever since I saw this in London as store decoration at Spitalfields market, I knew I wanted to make such a vintage lace curtain for our porch door. The only problem was to get enough lace and doily pieces together. But, Thanx to my lovely colleagues Nina and Christina it did not take very long. In order to make it look vintage, I dyed every cutting or collar individually with black tea. After drying I sewed everything together. You guessed it. I love it.

Lace Curtain

I actually love it so much so, that I am already wondering how all the other windows would look like with something like this as a curtain.

You just need a Mug Cozy

I have to say, knitted mug cozies seem to be everywhere and you just gotta love them. I even do not care if they are spelled mug cozy or mug cosy. This fall and winter I don`t drink coffee from a ’naked‘ cup. Well, making them is another story. You need to know some serious knitting in order for them to look nice.

Mug Cosy

Luckily I have friends, and Marius was able to do those beautiful crochet roses that I simple had to attach to my basic cozies. Thank You Marius, these are my favorites.
